3D Design Language for Vision People

Brief

As part of Vision People’s full rebrand, we were asked to create a series of 3D animations to illustrate their Surestep Process, a six-step workflow they use to ensure consistency and quality in every project. What started as a focused storytelling task quickly evolved into a larger design system that became a defining part of the brand’s new visual identity. The goal was to make the Surestep Process easy to understand and visually engaging, while staying true to the brand’s newly created minimal, confident aesthetic.

Solution

We built the Surestep animations around a simple metaphor: a crate being opened, examined, refined, and sealed again, now better than ever. The sequence visualizes how Vision People approach their projects, moving from discovery to delivery with precision and intent. The client connected strongly with the concept, and we expanded the visual language into a broader set of stills and motion pieces used across their website, presentations, and communication materials. The 3D visuals became a core part of how Vision People express their brand story.

A clean, tactile look

To align with the new identity, we kept the look minimal and focused. Two key materials form the foundation: frosted glass and sandblasted metal in Vision People’s new signature bordeaux. Each material was created in three versions, including subtle binary-patterned variations that reference the company’s software development background.

Integration and flexibility

The 3D assets extend across digital and presentation formats, bringing a sense of depth and craftsmanship to every touchpoint. The visuals tie directly into the brand’s color palette and design system, creating a clear visual thread from website to motion.

Process

All visuals were created procedurally in Houdini and rendered in Karma. The procedural setup allowed us to iterate quickly once the base system was established, keeping consistency across both the animated and still assets.

What we did

  • Concept development for the Surestep Process animation
  • Expansion into a scalable 3D visual language
  • Material and look development
  • Animation and still renders for web and presentations
  • Integration of assets into the Webflow website

Outcome

What started as a single explanatory animation grew into a full 3D design language that now defines much of Vision People’s visual identity. The result communicates both precision and warmth, setting them apart in a crowded market. The client quickly adopted the 3D visuals across their platforms, using them to reinforce their story and present themselves with confidence and style.
